In this video Coach Craig Rowe explains change of pace and change of direction running footwork in basketball.
Here is the video…
Demonstrated by OzSwoosh Rookies they go through a zig zag running drill.
The focus is on change of pace out of all change of direction.
These basketball footwork fundamentals are done in the traditional coaching method of corridors.
Corridors are where the court is divided into lanes for players to operate within.
This footwork forms the foundation of all crossover footwork.

Basketball Drill Purpose
Change of direction running footwork is important to lay the footwork required in basketball without a ball. It then builds a foundation for using the same footwork with a ball as part of basketball skill progression which lead in to crossover moves.
Basketball Equipment Needed
