More About Coach Craig Rowe


OzSwoosh was founded by Coach Craig Rowe and has existed in some form or another since 1998. The original website was known as "Coach Rowe's Basketball Hints and Tips" and later became OzSwoosh in 2004.

The original Rookies program was established in 1997 and operated out of 3 locations. Today OzSwoosh Academy is located at Morayfield north of Brisbane.

Coach Craig Rowe is a NCAS Level 2 Accredited Coach (1998, 2015-2018), and is a BQ endorsed coaching educator (2014 to current). He has helped 1000's of PE teachers and beginner coaches attain their club coach accreditation through-out South East Queensland in that time.

He has over 30 years coaching experience across junior club, association representative and state programs.

He started his high-performance skills coaching journey as a QAS Intensive Training Centre apprentice coach in 1995 and was later employed as a Regional Development Officer with Basketball Queensland (1998-1999). Was a Sports Program Officer for Caboolture Shire Council (2000) and DBA Operations Manager (2001). He also assisted with the Northern Territory Intensive Training Program (2001-2002).

Over the course of 3 decades Rowe has been a Team Selector for State Representative teams and from 2018 to 2020 was the South District Schools selector and coach.

Rowe has 25 years playing experience including senior representative (BSQ & GBL late 90's) and Domestic A grade competitions resulting in many domestic championships, runners-up and personal accolades.

Today, OzSwoosh not only serves private clients, we also provide services to Schools, Charities, Councils and the Queensland Police Service.
