While fun, it’s also a challenging basketball passing drill for kids with a focus on passing, body movement and defending passing lanes. It also helps improve decision making.

Basketball Drill Purpose
While this basketball passing game will help develop offensive and defensive basketball skills. It’s also a great decision making, reaction and timing drill. It’s a simple yet fun basketball drill for lower and middle school aged children. A variation can also be made for older athletes.
Basketball Equipment Needed
- You will need minimum 6 participants split in to 2 even teams
- Each player matches up on an opponent of equal height and ability
- 1 basketball ball
- Playing area can be a half or full court depending on player numbers
How To Play (Watch video)
With an older group with more advanced skills, you may allow double teaming and encourage off ball screens. Also with larger numbers use the rule: “You cannot pass to the person who just passed it to you” to encourage decision making.
