Basketball Drills Purpose
This small sided game teaches 1 on 1 basketball skills and also, 2 on 2 basketball offensive and defense. Players also learn spacing and cutting / leading as well as communication, passing under pressure. Defensive responsibility and man on man principles.
Basketball Equipment Needed
- Minimum 6 players recommended
- 1 Basketball
- 1 Basketball Ring (regulation height for age)
- Minimum Half Court

Variation:
As players improve or with older athletes you may have them try to get certain shot types, post up, or work on screen and role actions. You may also allow double teaming with more experienced players.
