Basketball Drill Purpose
To help lay the foundational basketball footwork required when defending a ball handler. Improved reaction time and hand positioning as well as communication are key teaching points. Adding the number of reps improves defensive stamina and endurance.
Basketball Equipment Needed
A small area and 4 markers or a jump ball circle approximately 6 feet x 6 feet, a stop watch to time the drill.
